Bloom's Chiropractor Gets Inducted Into University's Sports Hall of Fame

Bloom’s very own Chiropractor, Dr. Mandy Lee was recently inducted into the Delta State University’s Sports Hall of Fame. Dr. Lee swam competitvely at DSU from 1995-1999 which is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, U.S.A. On April 1, 2011, Dr. Lee travelled back to her University to receive this recognition. Below is an exerpt from the media press release:

Mandy Lee O’Neill – Swimming & Diving Dr. Mandy Lee O’Neill closed out her career as the most decorated swimmer in Lady Statesmen history. A four-year letter winner and four-time All-New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference pick, held eight school and NSISC records during her tenure at Delta State, including the 50-Free, 100-Free, 100-Butterfly, 200-Free Relay, 400-Free Relay, 800-Free Relay, 200-Medley Relay and 400-Medley Relay.

She was named the 1999 NCAA Woman of the Year for Mississippi and a national finalist for the NCAA that same year. In 1997-1999, she served as a Team Captain. Lee-O’Neill was named the Most Valuable Swimmer at DSU in 1998-1999 and she also claimed the 1996 DSU Workout Award.

A standout in the classroom as well, Mandy Lee O’Neill was a four-time Academic All-American, four-time Academic All-NSISC selection and 1999 Charles S. Kerg Senior Student-Athlete of the Year. She finished her four years at DSU rankings No. 1 in her class with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
