In the province of British Columbia, therapists are required to have 2200 hours of education from an accredited school in order to challenge the provincial board exams. These requirements are governed by the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. To maintain in good standing with the College, RMT’s must participate in post- graduate courses. This education enables therapists to develop safe and appropriate rehabilitation and/or self care programs. RMT’s use effective assessment and treatment skills from their background in clinical and health sciences. Some Conditions Treated with Massage Therapy: Headaches, Tendonitis, Bursitis, Ligament sprains, Muscle strains/sprains/spasms, Stress reduction, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Arthritis, Edema, Scoliosis, Disc herniations, Sciatica, Postural imbalances, Whiplash, Asthma symptoms, Pregnancy pre/post-natal, and Temporomandibular joint dysfunction. There are many techniques that can be used to massage. RMT’s learn a variety of approaches to treatments. Assessments and special tests allow the therapist to choose the appropriate technique based on each individual case.

**Please note Effective January 1, 2018 our massage therapy rates will be increasing by $10.00. Our new rates are within the BCMTA Recommended Fee Schedule and are comparable to other massage therapy clinics in the area. At the same time, we are also excited to share with you that we will be able to direct bill for your massage therapy treatments to over 10 different insurance companies.
