Prenatal Massage That Grows With You
Pregnancy changes your body fast, and most of it isn't gentle. At Bloom Family Wellness Centre in Edgemont Village, our Registered Massage Therapists offer prenatal massage built specifically for the aches, swelling, and shifting posture of each trimester. This is care designed for the body you actually have right now, not a generic relaxation massage repurposed for a pregnant body.
Bloom has supported North Shore families for years, with a team that includes a Registered Massage Therapist specializing in perinatal and postpartum care, so you're not explaining your pregnancy to your therapist. You're working with someone who already understands it.
When “Just Part of Pregnancy” Stops Being Enough
Low back pain that won't ease no matter how you sit. Hips that ache getting out of bed. Swollen ankles by 4pm. Shoulders locked up from carrying weight you didn't have six months ago. You've probably been told this is “just pregnancy,” and some of it is. But that doesn't mean you have to just live with it until your due date.
Many patients come in unsure whether massage is even safe for them right now, especially early on or later in the third trimester. That uncertainty on top of everything else your body is doing is its own kind of exhausting. You deserve a straight answer and a therapist who knows what they're doing with a pregnant body.

How We Help
At Bloom, prenatal and perinatal massage isn't an add-on service tacked onto a general RMT's schedule. It's an area of focused training. Our RMT team includes Anna, who trained at the London School of Sports Massage and Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (2024) and has developed a particular focus on perinatal and postpartum massage since having her own baby in 2025, and she understands this stage from both sides of the table. Our broader RMT team, including Elise (West Coast College of Massage Therapy, 2016), brings an evidence-based, orthopaedic approach to every treatment plan.
We also work alongside Dr. Amanda Lee, DC, known on the North Shore for her prenatal chiropractic care using the Webster Technique. Many patients combine prenatal massage with prenatal chiropractic for more complete support through pregnancy, all under one roof in Edgemont Village.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
- Intake and check-in. We'll talk through your trimester, any complications, symptoms, and areas of discomfort before you get on the table. This shapes your treatment; it isn't a generic form.
- Positioning and treatment. You'll be positioned safely and comfortably (typically side-lying with support), and your therapist will focus on the areas causing you the most trouble that day.
- Follow-up plan. Pregnancy changes week to week, so we'll talk about what to expect next and how often to come back as you move through trimesters.
Life Feels Different When Your Body Isn't Fighting You
Patients tell us the difference isn't just less pain. It's sleeping better, feeling less anxious about the discomfort ahead, and having one appointment a month (or more) that's entirely about them, not the baby.
- Real relief from low back and pelvic pain, not just temporary loosening
- Reduced swelling in hands and feet
- Better sleep from eased tension and stress
- Less anxiety knowing a professional is monitoring how your body is handling pregnancy
- A calmer transition into postpartum recovery for patients who continue care after birth
