What is a Registered Massage Therapist?
In the province of British Columbia, therapists are required to have 3000 hours of education from an accredited school in order to challenge the provincial board exams. These requirements are governed by the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. To maintain in good standing with the College, RMT’s must participate in post- graduate courses. This education enables therapists to develop safe and appropriate rehabilitation and/or self care programs.
