Injuries endured from a motor vehicle accident piqued Elise’s interest in the human body, and ultimately led her to a career in massage therapy. Elise graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2016. Following graduation and certification, Elise worked briefly in New Westminster, before moving back to her roots in North Vancouver. In 2017, Elise joined the team at Bloom Family Wellness Centre, and has continued to build a busy practice ever since.
Elise is passionate about helping every patient that walks in the door. She takes an evidence-based approach to care, and works to design a treatment which is both relaxing and therapeutic, while personally customized to each individual’s needs. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques based on orthopaedic assessment, and believes in taking a proactive approach to health, helping patients take their health in their own hands.
During the course of her career Elise has developed a deep tissue approach, and combines techniques such as, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, passive/active stretching, and Swedish massage. Elise has worked with a variety of patients and conditions including chronic injuries, rehabilitation, pre/post natal, stress and anxiety.
In her spare time, Elise enjoys spending time outdoors, with her husband, and big, handsome dogs, Bo and Sully. She now calls beautiful Squamish home, and can be found enjoying all it has to offer!
